Australia's Most Experienced Retail Builder
We consistently build high-performing, highly adaptable retail assets that achieve required yields, sustain retailers’ businesses, increase foot traffic, and ultimately sustain valuations for shareholders.
The retail sector has faced considerable competition and change in consumer behaviour, which has
placed pressure on retail property assets and requires them to adapt. We collaborate with retail property operators and develop their assets to deliver a better experience to the customer. As a construction partner of choice for many of Australia’s largest retail property owners and operators, we have delivered over 1,000,000m2 of retail space in our history.
Probuild’s origins began with retail construction at Chadstone Shopping Centre with the Gandel Group in 1987. Since then we have completed iconic retail projects around the country.
Specialists in Live Operating Environments
Maintaining centre operations while construction occurs is something we pride ourselves on. Our logistics and project management teams carefully plan and stage construction works to minimise disruption to the centre and customers. We often schedule noisy and dirty works during the night particularly if the workface is in close proximity to customers, retailers or service providers within the centre. Our subcontractor network that help deliver our retail projects know our method of work to minimise disruption to the centre.
One of the major parts of a shopping centre
development is the upgrade of services. Upgrading services can be one of the main disruptions to a centre, as they are essential to shopping centre operations and life safety systems. To upgrade services in an existing centre requires careful planning and staging so tenancies and the centre are impacted minimally. We have demonstrated across multiple stages at Chadstone Shopping Centre, Eastland Shopping Centre, The Glen Shopping Centre, Northland Shopping Centre and Highpoint Shopping Centre that we have the expertise to manage services integration without affecting centre operations.
