The team at our MLC Centre Retail Refurbishment project in Sydney recently completed a highly technical and complex milestone with the final installation of the Oculus water feature.
The installation involved the arrival of a police-escorted 400t Mobile crane on King Street and the closure of Castlereagh Lane at 2am in the morning.
This outstanding new feature will crown the refurbished plaza outdoor area above the food court. The Oculus has a 14m span and when complete will compose of 2 ponds each weighing 11 tonnes.
The Pond will provide natural light to the food court below with the base constructed from a 70mm thick structural acrylic from Japan.
