Sustainability
Probuild is deeply committed to promoting sustainability within our organisation, as well as working on projects with Environmental Sustainable Development (ESD) initiatives or targets.
Probuild is well on track to becoming a construction industry leader in the way we manage the impact of our projects on the environment. we know that buildings are heavy users of water, energy and other raw materials, so we aim to minimise their use, as well as the results of construction such as waste and energy. Each project has a comprehensive site environmental plan, and our Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) achieve industry best-practice.
Probuild is currently focused on gaining expertise and accreditation through the Green Building Council Australia’s (GBCA) Greenstar rating system.
Greenstar is a comprehensive, national, voluntary environmental rating system that evaluates the environmental design and construction of buildings.
A key driver for Probuild adopting Greenstar is to benchmark the company’s environmental management procedures in construction. We have been involved in a number of completed and ongoing Greenstar projects including Swinburne Place, Melbourne; the Bendigo Bank Corporate Headquarters, Bendigo; one40william, Perth; and seven17 Bourke Street, Melbourne.
