The Common

The Common Apartments required us to demolish an existing 3-storey building and construct a new, 20-storey, luxury apartment building in Surrey Hills. 
The project includes two levels of commercial space includes two levels of commercial space beneath 39 one, two and three-bedroom apartments, four full floor penthouses, a rooftop swimming pool, and a car stacker. 
Site coverage was maximised with all four perimeter walls built on the boundary, which necessitated locating the tower crane, man and material hoists within the building façade.  This and other innovations enabled us to deliver within a very tight, 85-week programme, with handover taking place on time and within budget in October 2005.
