Retail & Entertainment
Collins Place
The revitalisation of the retail levels of this well-known mixed use CBD landmark has given a contemporary ambiance to the original, late 1970’s design and raised the retail profile of the centre on the frontages to Collins, Russell and Little Collins Streets.
The brief included stone cladding and new paving, steps and stairs throughout the retail and lower level foodcourt, refurbishment of the arthouse cinema complex and construction of a new cinema, a health club, extensive refurbishment of all existing retail tenancies and construction of additional tenancies, relocation of an existing Australia Post tenancy, refurbishment of entries and external signage showcases.
The $10M project was undertaken in several stages, without disruption to the 24-hour operation of the centre, and with no loss of trade by retail and office tenants or disturbance to the Hotel Sofitel located within the centre. Completed on time in October 2003, the project was the second of three projects we have undertaken for AMP Capital Investors
