BHP Billiton Executive Level Fitout

The fitout of the Executive Level of BHP Billiton’s Headquarters in the office tower of the Queen Victoria development was delivered under a Design & Construct contract within a strict 21-week program.
Existing executive offices and the boardroom were stripped out, re-using furnishings and finishes where possible and extensive work was undertaken on existing floor levels and ceiling bulkheads.
A major feature of the project was the highly functional, state-of-the-art boardroom and the installation of some of the most sophisticated technology ever installed in a corporate environment in Australia.  Both boardroom and meeting rooms were fitted with stand-alone video conferencing to link in with other facilities worldwide.
Lift access was extremely limited and a considerable proportion of the construction work was undertaken at night.  No on-site warehousing was possible and off-site facilities were required for storage.  This facility was also used as a satellite project office.
This unique fitout is of the highest quality and was completed on time and within budget.
