Victoria Gardens

This $130 m new generation urban retail and entertainment centre incorporates 8000 m² of office space and parking for 2500 cars. The 50,000 m² of retail space includes one of Australia's largest Ikea superstores of 22,000 m², Kmart, a Coles supermarket, Freedom Furniture, an 8-screen cinema complex, food court, fresh food precinct and 70 specialty shops.

Previous uses of the site were quarrying and heavy industry, resulting in challenging site conditions. Smart scheduling ensured that all targets were met, with a series of staged handovers to meet the requirements of all major tenants. The first stage of the retail opened as scheduled in April 2003.
