Bayside North Shopping Centre

The expansion of Bayside Shopping Centre at Frankston was delivered under a fast tracked Construction Management model at a total construction cost of $63M.   The project comprised a new, 3-level building with parking at ground level and on the roof, with a level of retail between, and a separate multi-level car park of approximately 1700 spaces with new access off the Fletcher Road overpass. 

Travelators were introduced after construction commenced to serve the retail level and the rooftop carpark.  A new, multi-level pedestrian bridge across Beach Street links the new centre to the existing one and was designed after work commenced on the project. 

Despite numerous challenges, the original program and budget set prior to commencement were adhered to and the March 2006 opening date was met.
