Globe Mills Apartments

Probuild was engaged to complete the conversion of a heritage-classified, former 4-storey wool mill and cotton store in Marrickville after the original builder/developer went into receivership.

The project comprised 104 one, two and three-bedroom apartments over three levels, a swimming pool, gymnasium, central atrium and two levels of car parking. Most of the earlier work had to be re-done, but no extension of the completion date was possible. Acoustic insulation was essential, and there was a heritage requirement for some of the original face fabric to be used within the new building.

Probuild resolved all outstanding issues and completed the building within the required time and on budget.
