Frankston Private Medical Centre

This multi-level private health facility was designed primarily for the treatment of oncology patients, and includes three operating theatres with recovery rooms, radiography, MRI, chemotherapy, consulting suites, a clinical laboratory, pharmacy and coffee shop.

A feature of the development are the concrete bunkers built to accommodate linear accelerators, and which required one metre-thick concrete walls and extensive insulation. The centre comprises a concrete-framed structure over four levels, with a glazed fascade and structural steel roof.

We were awarded the Design and Construct Contract in March 2005 and subsequently negotiated a series of integrated specialist tenancy fit out works.

We delivered the project on time and within budget in August 2006.
