Executive Directors

PHIL MEHRTEN is a founding director of Probuild and a leader in the industry in Australia. He has been awarded by the Australian Institute of Building for his project expertise and is recognised for his ability to complete projects on time, within budget and to the required level of quality. Under Phil's leadership, the Group has grown from a turnover of $20.0 M in 1987 to an annual turnover now exceeding $650 M nationally. His strategy for long-term growth has seen Probuild enter an international partnership that will take the Group to the next phase of its maturity in Australia.

Phil leads a highly motivated team of construction professionals. His hands-on management style, drive and the support and direction that he provides to the State Managers and project teams ensure that primary project objectives are achieved.

In 2007 Phil became a Graduate of Business Management from the Harvard Business School.

TED YENCKEN joined Probuild in 1995 after many years in project management in Melbourne. He takes primary responsibility for the general management of Probuild's business and office support functions, and has played a key role in the Group's strategic planning.

Ted drives many of the Group's management and commercial initiatives, supported by our Chief Financial Officer and State Managers. He is recognised for his vast experience in construction, a keen eye for detail and a commitment to the very highest level of professionalism and integrity. Ted maintains an active interest in the critical relationships with our clients across all of our operations, and oversees all commercial and financial aspects of our related companies and our associated interstate operations.
